›Symphonic Mob‹ 2020

As the 'Symphonic Mob' had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in September 2020, we invited musicians of all ages, beginners and professionals, from violin to accordion, to make music with us digitally. After countless registrations and many great video submissions, we can finally present the result: more than 170 musicians singing and playing together the old Berlin hit 'Solang noch untern Linden' by Walter Kollo.

Even if this kind of playing together can't replace the experience of a "real" "Symphonic Mob", it's a nice symbol for staying connected despite all obstacles. We wish you a lot of fun with our #home_edition of the 'Symphonic Mob' and a happy new year! We hope that we can see each other live again next autumn at the 'Symphonic Mob' 2021.

»Not only are the students at Hanns Eisler filled with an insatiable appetite to explore and develop their artistic personalities, they also represent what is bright for the future of classical music«, says Robin Ticciati. »I am thrilled to begin this significant relationship with the music school, nurturing the talents of these young musicians and connecting them with the players of the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin.«

DSO’s Music Director will make an important contribution to the training of singers with his commitment to the university.
