Discovering music, making music!

The DSO is more than just an orchestra. It is a place to listen, get involved, ask questions, try things out and discover.

The 2026/27 season offers a wealth of opportunities to get to know the DSO better, to experience music in new ways and to share it together – in the concert hall as well as in schools, neighbourhoods or right in the heart of public spaces.

Children, young people and school classes can choose from our educational programme: attend a (children’s) concert, take a look behind the scenes at an orchestra rehearsal, help design the programme booklets or play chamber music themselves – with us, learning is all about curiosity, making connections and plenty of music. We also offer school trips to concerts and discounted tickets for children and young people.

We invite people of all ages to experience the DSO in all its different facets: through dialogue with art installations at Berlin Art Week, with club sounds at the Casual Concerts, or as a place to join in at the Symphonic Mob and in the DSO Community Orchestra.

Brand new: the FERRO:TON Festival is all about music, art and you. With no genre boundaries whatsoever! We’re also taking a deep dive into legendary game soundtracks at Game on Symphony and exploring the history behind the music at classic:klassik. At ASK!, you can share your thoughts on the season’s questions with us at every Philharmonie concert.

We look forward to seeing you. Join in!
