DSO's chamber concerts are broadening the scope of the of the orchestra's symphony concerts. Lineups vary from duets to string octets, playing music from four centuries, from chamber music classic to contemporary discoveries.
10 Museums
Ten chamber concerts of the 2024/2025 DSO season will take place at venues of art and knowledge of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation – with the ›Notturno‹ format’s guided tours and lectures included. They now start at 9 pm. The ›Notturno‹ subscription and the chamber music series will be continued with 3 and 5 dates respectively within this formate, and all 10 concerts can also be booked as the ›10 Museums‹ package (sold out) or 7 concerts as the ›7 Museums‹ package.
UnFuge and Crime
For the third time, the four-part series ›Die Kunst der UnFuge‹, this time featuring cabaret stars such as Dieter Hallervorden, Gayle Tufts, Frank Lüdecke and Horst Evers together with chamber music ensembles of the DSO, invites you to the Schlosspark Theater in Steglitz.
The concert format ›Music and Crime‹, in collaboration with the successful podcast ›ZEIT Verbrechen‹ (ZEIT Crime), brings turbulent crime stories live to the stage of the Großer Sendesaal in the Haus des Rundfunks on two occasions – with Sabine Rückert, publisher of the magazine ZEIT VERBRECHEN, Andreas Sentker, publisher of the magazine ZEIT WISSEN – and chamber music ensembles of the DSO.
More Chamber Concerts
A lecture-concert on 31 October 2024, which will take place as part of the European premiere of the oratorio ›Émigré‹ in cooperation with the Jewish Museum Berlin, is dedicated to the topic of ›Music from Jewish exile in Shanghai‹.
And in a chamber concert on 1 June 2025, the members of the DSO’s Ferenc Fricsay Academy will perform alongside DSO colleagues at Villa Elisabeth.
