Making music together
They come from a wide variety of professions: they are doctors, broadcasting staff or students during the day, but every Monday evening they come together in the DSO’s rehearsal hall to make music together. Since 2003, the subscribers’ orchestra of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin has been providing its musically ambitious friends with the opportunity to rehearse and perform challenging concert literature under professional guidance.
The ensemble is led by Heinz Radzischewski, the former assistant principal trumpeter of the DSO, who initiated it. Many of his colleagues are regularly involved with the project as teachers and soloists, and the principal conductor occasionally holds a rehearsal. Concerts in Berlin and guest performances document the high level of the collaboration.

Rehearsals
The subscribers’ orchestra rehearses every Monday from 7:30 to 10 pm in the Ferenc-Fricsay-Saal of the rbb-Fernsehzentrums on Masurenallee.
Interested players are always welcome; we are always looking for string players in particular.
