Farewell concerts Robin Ticciati 15./16.11.2024

With his concerts on Friday and Saturday, 15 and 16 November, Robin Ticciati stepped down as Chief Conductor of the DSO after more than seven years of fruitful collaboration. This farewell was celebrated with Gustav Mahler's Second Symphony, the almost boundless ›Auferstehungssymphonie‹, together with soloists Joélle Harvey and Karen Cargill and the Rundfunkchor Berlin. Ticciati began the evening with a composition by Mahler's former wife Alma: the song ›Die stille Stadt‹, sung a cappella by the Rundfunkchor Berlin. After the concert, Ticciati was bid farewell with warm words at a festive reception. Photos: © Fabian Schellhorn.
