›DSO at the Zoo‹ on 08/09/2024

On Sunday, 8 September 2024, it was ‘DSO at the Zoo’. The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) and Zoo Berlin jointly invited all music and animal lovers to a very special event. Chamber music ensembles ranging from trumpet duos to bassoon quartets played concerts throughout the day at various locations on the extensive zoo grounds and on the main stage at the zoo restaurant. A varied programme with works ranging from Boccherini to Haydn, Mozart and Debussy was performed open air and in the immediate vicinity of seals, rhinos and antelopes. A particular highlight was the performance of Prokofiev's ‘Peter and the Wolf’ in front of several hundred enthusiastic listeners.
