Season opening of the DSO in the scope of the Musikfest Berlin on 06/09/2024

The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) kicked off its new season on Friday, 6 September 2024 as part of Musikfest Berlin. Japanese maestro Kazuki Yamada was on the podium. The varied programme took the audience on a musical journey from Germany via France and Greece to North and South America. Gustav Mahler's ‘Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen’ took centre stage, interpreted by tenor Julian Prégardien. The DSO season opener was also a celebratory concert to mark the 30th anniversary of the Rundfunk Orchestra and Choirs (ROC).
