Zum Konzert
Since 1913, Clärchens Ballhaus has been a home and a dream destination for Berliners who are crazy about dancing. Only a few remain today of the more than 900 dance halls in the capital in the early 20th century that invited people to countless pleasures. Clärchens has survived two world wars and more than a century of turbulent history undamaged. In 2024, the rear building on Auguststraße in Berlin-Mitte reopened after an extensive renovation and once again offers relaxed dancing pleasures. Like a time capsule, the ballroom on the upper floor, with its creaking parquet floor, historical panelling and innumerable mirrors still preserves its unique atmosphere today. After great success last season, the DSO is continuing the ›Clärchens‹ series and with four concert dates in the 2026/2027 season reviving the ballroom with its inimitable patina and fabulous acoustics as a place for chamber music.
