More info Less info

In the first concert on 19 December, the musical focus will be on climate change and the relationship between man and nature. The programmatic core is formed by Ludwig van Beethoven's famous 'Pastorale', whose movements are interspersed with composition by Matthew Burtner, Brett Dean and Bryce Dessner. The exceptional violinist Pekka Kuusisto, who loves to experiment, will be the soloist in Dessner's violin concerto, the premiere of which he played himself a few weeks ago.
