Bratschenensemble des DSO
Chamber Music at Clärchens Ballhaus
Since 1913, Clärchens Ballhaus has been a home and a destination for Berliners who are crazy about dancing. The rear building on Auguststraße has survived two world wars and more than a century of Berlin’s turbulent history unscathed, and in 2024 it reopened after an extensive renovation. Like a time capsule, the Mirror Hall on the first storey has preserved its unique atmosphere and houses exuberant dancing pleasure nightly. With four concerts in its 2025/2026 season, the DSO is picking up the thread of old traditions and turning the ballroom with its inimitable patina and fabulous acoustics back into a venue for chamber music at the heart of Berlin.
