we are looking forward to welcoming you again in September at our concerts in the Philharmonie, Villa Elisabeth and Heimathafen Neukölln. Over the past weeks we have been intensively studying the hygiene concepts of the various venues and can now provide you with the most important information to know about our concerts in September and October.
Hygene and New Rules
The health and safety of the audience and performers is our highest priority. For this reason, we have developed precautionary measures for your visit in coordination with the various venues to help contain the corona pandemic. The Philharmonie in particular has an excellent ventilation system that permanently blows disinfected supply air under the chairs into the auditorium and exhausts exhaust air upwards. Before and after admission, door handles, handrails and sanitary areas are cleaned and disinfected.
The GrauSchumacher Piano Duo, violinist Hilary Hahn and cellist Tomáš Jamník, and conductors Robin Ticciati and Jakub Hrůša can be heard at the DSO in September and October as planned. However, in order to comply with the current regulations, we had to adapt some of the concert programmes. You can find the modified programmes in our concert calendar.
At the October 18 concert at Heimathafen Neukölln the piece by Astor Piazzolla unfortunately has to be omitted. The chamber concerts in the Villa Elisabeth and the 'Notturno' concert in the Staatsbibliothek unter den Linden will take place as announced.
Exclusive Concert Tickets for Subscribers
As you have already heard from us in writing, the subscription series in the Philharmonie and the 'Notturno' series must be paused in September and October.
However, as you are one of our most loyal guests, we would like to offer you tickets at exclusive special conditions for the greatly reduced number of available seats. From 12 August you can pre-order tickets from our Customer Service Department using your subscription pass you already have been sent by post, or by quoting your customer number.
As a subscriber, you will receive tickets for our symphony concerts in the Philharmonie for price categories I to II at a discount of about 50% and for price groups III to VI at a discount of about 30%. For the time being, however, you can only buy tickets in August for concerts until the end of September. For the October cocnerts, tickets can only be pre-ordered at the moment, as we have to adapt our seating plan to current developments. We will send you the pre-ordered tickets for October as soon as possible. We hope to be able to offer you your subscription with the remaining subscription concerts for the season as a package with the well-known subscription discount, possibly starting in November.
Chamber Music Series
The chamber music series can take place as planned. We would like to ask subscribers to this series to contact our Customer Service by September 15 and inform them whether they wish to pause or continue their chamber music subscription this season.
We wish you, your relatives and your family good health and look forward to seeing you again at our concerts.
