The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin has free positions in the Orchestra Academy for the following instrumental groups:

violin, viola, cello and double bass.

Training occurs by participating in rehearsals, recordings and concerts – on average 10 shifts per month (120 shifts a year) – as well as participating in various additional workshops and one-to-one tutoring.

An endowment for training purposes of € 850 per month (gross) will be paid.

An audition is required. The maximum age for applicants is 25

Audition for violin (Academy)
Monday, 29 May 2017 | 11 am

required audition pieces:

– a Mozart concerto, 1st movement
– romantic concerto, 1st movement or a piece of your choice
– orchestral excerpt: Mendelssohn – Scherzo from ›A Midsummer Night's Dream‹ (1st violin)
– orchestral excerpt: Bruckner – Symphony Nr. 9, 3rd movement (2nd violin)

 


Audition for viola (Academy)

– a classic concerto by Hoffmeister or Stamitz
– orchestral excerpt: Mendelssohn Bartholdy – ›A Midsummer Night's Dream‹
