Appeal for a Society of the Many
We speak out clearly against all forms of discrimination. We condemn right-wing extremism and right-wing populism as a serious threat to our pluralistic society, which we must actively and loudly counter. Our ranks alone include musicians from twenty nations who harmonise with one another. Our diversity, tolerance and mutual appreciation are our strength – on and off stage. The combination of our individual experiences and cultural backgrounds creates our special sound. To keep it that way, it is now up to all of us to stand up for democracy, for a form of community that works together instead of excluding individuals or groups. We are convinced of the equality of all people and will not allow ourselves to be divided.
