A special highlight of the DSO's 2008/2009 Season was its trip to Asia in March 2009 with visits to Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur. Seven concerts under the direction of the orchestra's Music Director Ingo Metzmacher feature symphonies by Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms and Anton Bruckner, as well as music by Anton Webern and Richard Wagner. Two of the world's most esteemed soloists will travel with the orchestra: baritone Matthias Goerne will perform Gustav Mahler's ›Kindertotenlieder‹ and violinist Christian Tetzlaff will perform the E-minor concerto by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Alban Berg's concerto ›To The Memory Of An Angel‹. Here you will get some impressions: |
